08/15/16 ~ City of Blue Mound Regular Council Meeting
The City Council of the City of Blue Mound will hold a
Regular City Council Meeting on Monday, August 15, 2016 in

following agenda:
1. Call to Order / Invocation / Announcements
2. Citizens
Participation (Limit to 3 Minutes – Complete Speakers request form and Submit
to City Secretary prior to the start of meeting)
3. Discuss and
Consider Changes to the Employee Handbook as Follows:
We need to make a correction on page
27 of the handbook regarding overtime pay, as that paragraph conflicts with
information throughout the handbook. I would recommend the fourth (4th)
paragraph read as follows:
"Time off for paid vacation
leave, paid holiday leave, sick leave, jury duty leave, bereavement leave, or
any other paid leave of absence is not considered as time worked when
calculating overtime hours. Witness duty, if attended as part of
your professional duties, will be considered time worked when calculating overtime
hours, and as such can be eligible for overtime pay."
Since the city council has opted
to pay overtime and no longer offer the option of "Comp Time", that
also needs to be addressed on the following pages:
Page 33, paragraph 2
Page 35, paragraph 5
Page 39, paragraph 6
Page 43, paragraph 9

“practices not permitted”
