08/20/18 ~ City of Blue Mound Regular Meeting & Public Hearing

The City Council of the City of Blue Mound will hold a Regular City Council Meeting and Public Hearings on Monday, August 20, 2018 in the City Hall Council Chambers at 301 Blue Mound Road at 7:00 P.M. for the following agenda:

1.    Call to Order / Invocation / Announcements – Mayor Hooks

2.       Citizens Participation (Limit to 3 Minutes – Complete Speakers request form and Submit to City Secretary prior to the start of meeting)

3.       Pursuant to Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code the City Council will Convene into Executive Session to Deliberate the Appointment, Employment, Evaluation, Reassignment, Duties, Discipline or Dismissal of a Public Officer or Employee – The City Secretary

4.       Discuss and Consider Action to be Taken Regarding Agenda Item #3.

5.       2^nd Public Hearing on Proposed City of Blue Mound Budget and Proposed Ad Valorem Property Tax Rate for Fiscal Year 2018 – 2019

8.    Discuss and Consider Ordinance 529 Amending the Text of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance by Amending Appendix A to Chapter 14, “Zoning” of the Blue Mound Code of Ordinances; By Amending the Definition for Amusement Machines; By Authorizing Amusement Machine Establishments Only in the “E,” “E-1,” “H,” and “F” Zoning Districts at Least 300 Feet from any “B,” “C,” or “D” Zoning District; By Amending the Procedure for Amending the Zoning Regulations or the Boundaries of a Zoning District. 

9.       Discuss and Consider Community Halloween Party to be held at the Community Center on October 26^th, 2018 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.

10.  Discuss and Consider Departmental Monthly Reports for July, 2018

A.  Police calls, arrests, and warrants totals

B.  Fire local and mutual aid calls and training totals

C.  Library visitors, books and materials loaned totals

D.  Community center, visitors, events, and activities totals

E.  Public Works

11.   Discuss and Consider Approval of July, 2018 Accounts Payable

12.   Discuss and Consider Approval of July 16th, 2018, August 6^th, 2018 & August 13^th, 2018 Meeting Minutes

13.   Adjourn

           

Note: The City Council reserves the right to adjourn into executive session at any time during the course of this meeting to discuss any of the matters listed above, as authorized by the Texas Government Code, Section 551.071 (Consultation with Attorney), 551.072 (Deliberations about Real Property), 551.073 (Deliberations about Gifts and Donations), 551.074 (Personnel Matters), 551.076 (Deliberations about Security Devices) and 551.087 (Economic Development).
