PRESS RELEASE

March 18, 2015

 
On March 18, 2015 at about 1:00 a.m. Blue Mound Police officers were dispatched to a residence located 601 Globe to investigate a possible shooting. On arrival officers found three individuals in the residence. One of the persons, a nineteen year old male, was found to have been wounded by gun fire and was transported to a local hospital. The victim’s condition is not available at this time. The other individuals at the residence were found to be juveniles, and released to parents.

 
Witnesses indicated that the victim was attempting to open the front door of the residence when the suspect(s) fired a single round from an unknown type of weapon. The round passed through the door and struck the victim.

 

The shooting is currently being investigated.
