NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED BUDGET  FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2021 – 2022 FOR THE CITY OF BLUE MOUND

 

Pursuant to LGC §102.0065, notice is hereby given to all interested persons, that the Blue Mound City Council will hold a public hearing on the proposed budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2021 and ending September 30, 2022.  The public hearing will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. in the City of Blue Mound Council Chambers located at 301 Blue Mound Road, Blue Mound, Texas.  A copy of the proposed budget is available for public inspection Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at City Hall or on the city website at www.bluemoundtexas.org under “Budgets and Debt”.

 

THIS BUDGET WILL RAISE MORE TOTAL PROPERTY TAXES THAN LAST YEAR’S BUDGET BY $15,369 OR 1.79%, AND OF THAT AMOUNT, $248 IS TAX REVENUE TO BE RAISED FROM NEW PROPERTY ADDED TO THE TAX ROLL THIS YEAR

 

The tax rate and budget are scheduled for Council consideration and action at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.

 

Members of the public are encouraged to attend the hearing and express their views.

City of Blue Mound- Special Council Meeting

The City Council of the City of Blue Mound will hold a Special City Council Meeting Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in the City Hall Council Chambers at 301 Blue Mound Road at 6:30 P.M. for the following agenda:

 

1.    Call to Order / Invocation / Announcements - Mayor Copeland

 

2.    Discuss and consider an action expressing the City Council’s intent to adopt a tax rate of $0.560545 per one hundred dollars of valuation for fiscal year 2021-2022 and calling a public hearing regarding the proposed tax rate for Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 6:30 P.M. and direct staff to send all required notices for said public hearing.

4.   Discuss and Consider calling a meeting to adopt the Budget and the Tax Rate for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 to be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.

5.    Announcement:  There will be a meeting held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 to adopt the budget and tax rate for the Fiscal Year 2021-2022.

A Public Hearing of the City of Blue Mound City Council will be held Tuesday, August 17th, 2021 immediately after the Crime Control & Prevention Board Meeting which begins at 6:00 p.m. in the City of Blue Mound Council Chambers located at 301 Blue Mound Road to consider the City of Blue Mound Crime Control & Prevention proposed budget, for fiscal year 2021-2022.
