Regular City Council Meeting- March 15, 2022

Notice is hereby given of a meeting of the City Council of the City of Blue Mound, Tarrant County, State of Texas, to be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at City Council Chambers for the purpose of considering the following items. The City Council reserves the right to adjourn into Executive Session at any time during this meeting to discuss any of the matters listed below, as authorized by the Texas Government Code, Section 551.071 (Consultation with Attorney), 551.74 (Personal Matters), 551.076 (Deliberations about Security Devices) and 551.087 (Economic Development) Any decision held on such matters will be taken or conducted in Open Session following the conclusion of the Executive Session.

A.     Approve the minutes of the February 15, 2022, meeting.

B.      Consider and/or act on approving February 2022 Financial Report

8. INDIVIDUAL CONSIDERATION

A.     Adopting the 2021 International Fire Code with Listed Amendments

B.       Consider and/or act on amending Ordinance No. 427 update on 1660 Globe with Ben Gibbs.

C.      Consider and/or act on approving vacation pay for former City Secretary

D.      Consider and/or act on approving live scan estimate for Police Department.

E.     Consider and/or act on approving Interface to EFORCE for ticket writers for Police Department and Municipal Court

F.      Consider and/ or act on changing vacation/sick hours an employee can take in a day.

G.      Consider and or act on upcoming community events:

·         Summer Bash: June 11^th

·         Halloween Trunk or Treat: October 29^th

·         Christmas Tree Lighting: December 1^st

The City Council of the City of Blue Mound will hold a Special City Council Meeting Tuesday, March 8, 2022 in the City Hall Council Chambers at 301 Blue Mound Road at 6:30P.M. for the following agenda:

 

1.    Call to Order / Invocation / Announcement - Mayor Copeland

 

2.       Citizens Participation (Limit to 3 Minutes – Complete Speakers request form and Submit to Asst. City Secretary before start of meeting)

Executive Session Open:

 

A.    Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.071, to receive legal advice from the City Attorney on matters related to City personnel in which the duty of the City Attorney to the City’s governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.

 

B.     Pursuant to Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code the City Council will convene into Executive Session to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline or dismissal of a public officer or employee – the City Secretary.
